About the Author

James T. Hogg writes historical fiction with a simple mission: Stories You’d Ruin Tomorrow For.  He aims to hook readers in the opening chapter and keep them turning pages through unforgettable characters, fast pacing, and compelling plots.

His debut historical novel, Faythe of North Hinkapee, is an award-winning epic set in Colonial America featuring an indomitable young woman seeking vengeance against the powerful family that destroyed her sister. The novel has earned 4.5-star ratings on both Amazon and Goodreads.

Hogg is currently writing its sequel, Faythe and the Marauders:

This story is about what could have – or should have – happened in Colonial times if a spark was lit by a fearless woman leader – Faythe — who challenged the orthodoxy of the Puritan Church and the inferior position of women in that Church and in the Colonies.  In this book, Faythe – and her Marauders – are that spark.  They are fearless and ruthless, willing to leave the men they love behind, and willing to face even death for their cause.

Hogg has also written a children’s book, Baby Ears, scheduled for publication soon through the prestigious Epic children’s book publishing empire.

Hogg lives in New Jersey with his wife of more than forty years, Ann (“Sweetie Pig”), whom he adores. Among other things, they founded The Sweetie Pig Foundation to spread joy and happiness in the world.  He writes from his beach house in Cape May, called Hogg’s House, and is especially proud of completing two Ironman triathlons, including the World Championship in Kona, and achieving his “Ripped at 65” fitness goal despite undergoing open-heart surgery that same year.
